No – not really. As long as you upload a photo of a real cellphone tower (e.g. with 2G, 3G, 4G or 5G tech), the system works reliably. It’s programmed to only respond to actual transmission systems.
If you accidentally upload an image of something else – like a streetlight, a Wi-Fi router, or a household object – nothing will happen. The process simply won’t activate.
To ensure best results, try to photograph the whole mast or the visible antenna structures. Even disguised or partially hidden towers will be recognized if relevant parts are visible.
There’s no risk of misuse or negative side effects. If a tower later gets upgraded with new tech, just upload a fresh image – the system will update and neutralize the new components too.
